"The International
Trumpet Days 2024"

Neeme Ots and Henn Rebane
at Nõmme Cultural Center
March 31st 2024

  • Neeme Ots (trumpet, Estonia)
  • Henn Rebane (accordion, Estonia)

  • Henn Rebane´s arrangements of trumpet virtuoso pieces accompanied by accordion
  • Henn Rebane´s original compositions for trumpet and accordion

The trumpet and accordion duo performing at the concert have recently released their first album, “On the Highway,” with organist Tiia Tenno, and toured extensively nationwide with CD presentation concerts. The musicians’ collaboration began three years ago in Hiiumaa, where Henn Rebas’s excellent arrangements of trumpet virtuoso pieces were performed.

The utmost sensitivity towards the trumpet’s possibilities and sound characteristics stands out in the composer’s arrangements and the original compositions.

Henn Rebas’s works, written for a rather unusual ensemble combination, are an exciting addition to Estonian trumpet music.
